Noticing Nature – Guided program for families at Mt. Tom

Sunday, March 3, 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Stone House Visitor’s Center (next to at the junction of Christopher Clark Road and Reservation Road)

How do you get through the winter?  How do plants and animals do it?

Discover several strategies for survival as we take a short walk on easy terrain through the woods.  Suitable for families with school-age children and curious adults. Please dress for the weather, in layers with sturdy footgear for ice, snow or mud.

Come early.  The Stone House Visitor Center will be open before the program.   Exhibits and displays tell the story of Mt. Tom’s rich natural and social history.  The Visitor’s Center is staffed by Mt. Tom volunteers.

Noticing Nature is a free program sponsored by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.  Inclement weather cancels event.  Call (413) 584-6788 for more information.  Meet at the Stone House Visitor Center next to at the junction of Christopher Clark Road and Reservation Road. www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/central/mtom.htm
